Learning Mentor
Monks Orchard Primary School is a flourishing 1 form school in the London Borough of Croydon. We believe that everything starts with our children and our community and are looking to recruit fantastic staff who believe the same.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative Learning Mentor to join our friendly and supportive team, you will work with individual children, and small groups, removing barriers to learning so that children are given every opportunity to reach their full potential.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience working in the role, or in a role with similar responsibilities, with primary school aged pupils.
You should be:
- passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with barriers to learning
- confident in dealing with young people with additional needs, and their families
- able to relate well to pupils, adults, school staff and other professionals working with the child
- a committed team player, willing to invest time and energy into our school
- experienced in the role of Learning Mentor, or a similar role in primary schools

Contract type: 30 hours per week (term time only)
Salary: Grade 6 SCP 18. FTE: £32,928. Pro Rata: £24,419
