SEN Assistant KS1

Overview

We are looking for a caring, committed and enthusiastic assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team and provide support for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan.

This is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s learning journey, supporting them to thrive both academically and socially. 

The successful candidate will:

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to provide tailored support.
• Build positive relationships that foster confidence, independence and engagement.
• Support access to learning through play-based and structured activities.
• Have patience, resilience and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.

Start Date: September 2026

Contract Type: 28 hours per week

Salary: NJC Grade 2 Scp 3-5 (depending on experience)

Contract Term: Fixed term to end of August 2027
