Early Years Practitioner

Start date: 1st September 2025

Contract type: 36 hours per week - we are aiming to include school holidays within our provision, so please be aware that some school holiday hours are likely.

Salary: NJC Grade 3 - scale point 5-7 depending on experience

Contract term: Permanent

Fairchildes Primary School is proud to be an Outstanding school at the heart of the community of New Addington on the outskirts of Croydon. We are excited to be expanding our highly successful nursery provision to welcome 2-year-olds from September 2025 – and we are looking for an experienced, passionate, and qualified Early Years Practitioner to join us on this journey.

About the Role:

As a key member of our Early Years team, you will support the learning, development, and care of our youngest children. You’ll play a central role in creating a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment where every child can thrive.

What We’re Looking For:

• Level 2 or above qualification in Early Years/Childcare (essential)
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting (essential)
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• A warm, professional and enthusiastic approach to working with young children
• A commitment to high-quality provision and an inclusive practice Team player with excellent communication skills
