Letter to Parents 4.1.21
Happy New Year!
Once again we find ourselves in the position of having to plan for the closure of the school, (apart from vulnerable and critical worker families). This sudden upsurge in the spread of Covid 19 and the contagiousness of this new variant has made this necessary. Ultimately, what we are trying to do is to keep everyone as safe as we can and prevent the spread of the virus.
Thanks to those families that have contacted us in regard to a Critical Worker place at school, as you will appreciate it took a while to put things in place ready for tomorrow. I know our Inclusion team have been busy today contacting our vulnerable families as well.
As of tomorrow (Tuesday 5th Jan 2021) all other learning will be done remotely, each class teacher will be providing on line learning for their pupils until Friday 15th January when we await further announcements from the Government about the full re-opening of schools.
Should you have any issues accessing the online learning, please contact your year group teacher and they will do what they can to support you.
For those families eligible for free school meals (those of you who received vouchers over the Christmas holidays), we will be offering you the option of a bag of groceries. These are the same bags we have provided when bubbles have been sent home to isolate. If you are entitled to this and would like to receive a bag, then please let the school know ASAP. Preferably by tomorrow - 3pm (Tuesday 5th January)

Families will need to collect them from school once we have sorted them. Once we have a better idea of numbers we will be in touch. I am sorry that this seems so complicated, but we do not have the necessary food stored in school and we have to rely on our suppliers to deliver this.
As always thank you for your patience and understanding.
