Contract type: 36 hours per week - we are aiming to include school holidays within our provision so please be aware that some school holiday hours are likely.
Salary: NJC Grade 3 - scale point 5 -7 depending on experience
Contract term: Permanent

Monks Orchard School is proud to be a good school at the heart of the Shirley community in Croydon. We are delighted to be expanding our successful nursery provision to welcome 2 year olds from January 2026 – and we are seeking an experienced, passionate, and qualified Early Years Practitioner to join us on this exciting new journey.
About the Role:
As a key member of our Early Years team, you will support the learning, development, and care of our youngest children. You’ll play a central role in creating a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment where every child can thrive.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 2 or above qualification in Early Years/Childcare (essential)
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting (essential)
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- A warm, professional and enthusiastic approach to working with young children
- A commitment to high-quality provision and inclusive practice
- A team player with excellent communication skills
