Monks Orchard School is proud to be a good school at the heart of the Shirley community in Croydon. We are delighted to be expanding our successful nursery provision to welcome 2-year-olds from January 2026 – and we are seeking an experienced and passionate EYFS Lunchtime Care and Play Supervisor to join us on this exciting new journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and assist 2 and 3 -year-old children during lunchtime, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and well supported.
   
• Encourage independence and good table manners, providing gentle guidance as children eat and socialise.
   
• Promote positive interactions and help children to develop kind, respectful behaviour in line with our school values.
   
• Support with setting up, cleaning, and tidying the dining area before and after meals.
   
• Respond promptly and appropriately to any accidents, spills, or first aid needs, following school procedures.
   
• Ensure the environment is calm, safe, and consistent with safeguarding and health and safety policies.
   

We’re seeking someone who is caring, observant, and able to support children with varied needs in a positive and calm manner. The ideal candidate will have:

• Good communication skills to interact effectively with children and staff.
• A patient, approachable, and responsible attitude.

Salary: NJC Grade 1 Scale Point 3
